OMUNKY recently released a new t-shirt, titled “Nocturnal Naptime.” Right off the bat, I love this because it features one of my favorite animals seen on t-shirts, owls. Seriously, I don’t know what it is about them, but they make great subjects for tee illustrations. Another reason why I like “Nocturnal Naptime” so much is because people think I’m a night owl, but I’m really not. I just stay up late despite my body telling me to get some rest. Sometimes I set out to get some work done, only to wake up around 4AM with no recollection of ever passing out. At least I don’t have to cover up my sleepiness like this owl does. It’s his job to stay awake at night, since he sleeps all day long!

SockMonkee (Chris Sandlin) recently released his new line, and I must say that all six of his new products look amazing. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the designs called “Blue Like Jazz,” a t-shirt that I will be reviewing today.

SockMonkee, owl“Blue Like Jazz” features a saxophone-playing owl that’s creating sweet tunes into the wee hours of the night. As a matter of fact, he’s having such a great time playing that the music is carrying him through the air. I love designs like this because you can’t help but feel calmer when you look at them. I don’t think that I am a huge fan of owls in real life, but owl art is so fascinating. This is expecially true in the case of the new Tilteed Limited design by Raid71 (Chris Thornley) called “Old & Wise.” The bird has one eye, for crying out loud. It’s a cyclops owl!

Old & Wise, Tilteed, owlGet your copy of “Old & Wise” before your chance flies away. It’s available at Tilteed for $10 (after using the coupon code LovingThisTee) until Noon PDT on Thursday, October 14.
