SockMonkee (Chris Sandlin) recently released his new line, and I must say that all six of his new products look amazing. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the designs called “Blue Like Jazz,” a t-shirt that I will be reviewing today.

SockMonkee, owl“Blue Like Jazz” features a saxophone-playing owl that’s creating sweet tunes into the wee hours of the night. As a matter of fact, he’s having such a great time playing that the music is carrying him through the air. I love designs like this because you can’t help but feel calmer when you look at them. A few weeks ago, I received a sweet package from laFraise, a European design competition site. I have been a long time fan of laFraise, so it’s quite a treat to get to review one of their t-shirts today! The t-shirt that I will be reviewing is called “The Big Bang Theory” by GUS.

When I took the contents out of the envelope, I was greeted with a t-shirt sealed in a custom plastic bag (the brand can be seen in the bottom left-hand corner), a laFraise sticker, and care instructions. There are no care instructions inside the shirt, so the little card was a nice touch. I didn’t actually look at it, but I suppose that if you don’t own that many t-shirts, then it’s good to have. As you can see, the shirt also came with a laFraise hang tag, which only added on to the strong branding of the product.

I’ve never seen black ink on a black shirt before, but it sounds like it could be really neat! What got me thinking about this color combination  is “POV – Expansion Unlimited” from Arteefact. This is my favorite design out of their catalog, and one of the colorways is black and pink on black. Fascinating!

robot, rain, ArteefactIf you like abstract designs with robots and raindrops, or just like cool graphics on a tee, then definitely check this shirt out. It’s on sale at Arteefact for €25.

Doctor Hazmat is a brand that I’ve recently fallen in love with. They only have 3 designs in their storefront so far (all of which are amazing!), but I’m seeing big things for them in the future. The latest release is called “Super Doctor Hazmat,” and it’s a nice tribute to the classic NES game Super Mario Bros. I definitely want this on my body ASAP!

You can pick up your copy of “Super Doctor Hazmat” from the Doctor Hazmat shop for $25.

The t-shirt that I will be reviewing today is one from Made With Awesome, called “Gay By Birth, Proud By Choice.” The folks at Made With Awesome initially revealed this design at Philly Pride and later introduced it to their online shop.

“Gay by Birth, Proud by Choice” is printed on Gildan Softstyle, which as its name suggests, is very soft. The fit is similar to that of American Apparel’s standard tee, but an inch or two shorter. The shirt comes with a screen printed tag, so that you’ll always remember where it’s from and whom it’s by.

As you can see, there may be slight imperfections in the design. According to the artists, this is intentional. They wanted to create one-of-a-kind pieces for everyone, so minor color streaks here and there are to make your t-shirt unique.

If you’re looking for a good pride shirt, I’d definitely recommend this one. You can purchase “Gay by Birth, Proud by Choice” at Made With Awesome for $15.

I love dachshunds. Their short legs and long torsos make them quite a sight to see! If you love them too, or just like dogs in general, then this latest Tilteed Limited design is one that you do not want to miss!

Slide” by Tang Yau Hoong shows a wiener dog/sausage dog that’s too lengthy for his own good. Can you imagine if there were a dog like that? I’d be so amused watching it, and that’s probably an understatement.

I love being an art curator at Tilteed. It’s not even possible for me to pretend this isn’t true. Looking at t-shirt designs all day long is just too fun! But why am I talking about curating? Well, that’s because I have a new curation up at Tilteed.

I can recall the day when I first discovered Yema Yema‘s artwork. At first I was like “Huh?” but after I let it sink it a little, I was like “Oh my gosh, this is brilliant!” I get the same reaction to some music discoveries, and these bands/musicians always end up being my long-time favorites. I’m thinking that it’s a good thing that I reacted to Yema Yema in the same fashion, because I can definitely picture myself loving her artwork for a long, long time!

Without further ado, I’m happy to present to you “Woody Friends,” a delightfully quirky piece by Yema Yema. There isn’t a single thing that I don’t like about the design. Her characters are so unique, and I truly mean that. You can see for yourself. They’re like mixtures of robots and monsters, and I personally find them to be cute, creepy, and silly, all at the same time. These characters look like they’re all having a blast hanging out, and that’s exactly what summer’s all about!

You can purchase “Woody Friends” by Yema Yema at Tilteed for $12 and save $2 with the coupon code LovingThisTee.” You’ve got about 48 hours left before it’s gone forever!

Thanks for letting me share artwork with you, t-shirt wearers around the world! If any artists would like to send me designs to look at for curation in the Tilteed Limited line, please shoot me an e-mail at dunz0[at]tilteed[dot]com.
