This Just In!: Mario in Smurf Land from Gryphony
Posted February 4, 2011on:
Gryphony just launched yesterday, so now I’m going to do a quick review of their first shirt. Gryphony is a new curated t-shirt site that will have a new design available every 72 hours. The package promises fun, so let’s see what’s inside!
The shirt came neatly packaged in a sealed plastic bag. The package also contained a receipt holder, something that I’ve never seen from a t-shirt company before. It looks very nice!
The receipt holder came with stickers and a generic thank you note, and has all of the important information like washing instructions and Gryphony’s social media link. There were also two stickers with the logo inside.
“Mario in Smurf Land” by Sassa and Lucas de Alcantara is the first design to be featured at this brand new curated t-shirt site. I really like the design and the colors. The shirt itself also feels very nice, although the manufacturer is being kept a secret. I think I may have figured out the brand, but I won’t pose my speculations since I could very well be incorrect. Either way, the men’s tee feel very nice! It’s a soft 100% ringspun cotton shirt, and the cut is very similar to American Apparel.
Here’s a look at the custom printed tag inside the shirt, as well as the small print found on the bottom left of the back. If you have a shirt from Design By Humans, this bottom print is similar to that.
You can pick up “Mario in Smurf Land” for $16 at Gryphony. The shirt is available in both men’s and women’s sizes, although the women’s tees are deep V-neck shirts (which is pretty neat!). If you make a purchase before February 11, you can save 10% with the coupon code “LOVINGTHISTEE.”
