This Just In!: Blue Like Jazz from SockMonkee
Posted October 18, 2010on:
SockMonkee (Chris Sandlin) recently released his new line, and I must say that all six of his new products look amazing. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the designs called “Blue Like Jazz,” a t-shirt that I will be reviewing today.
“Blue Like Jazz” features a saxophone-playing owl that’s creating sweet tunes into the wee hours of the night. As a matter of fact, he’s having such a great time playing that the music is carrying him through the air. I love designs like this because you can’t help but feel calmer when you look at them.
I was actually surprised to see a custom screen printed tag in this shirt. This alone gives out the impression that SockMonkee isn’t only an artist, but also as a brand. It’s definitely shaping up to be a great brand so far!
All of SockMonkee’s designs are printed on American Apparel. Although this particular design is rather large in print area, the ink is very lightweight and you don’t feel a sheet of ink sitting on your torso. The print is nice and smooth, too, which is a plus. After having run this shirt through the washer and dryer, everything is still in tiptop shape. Awesome!
I would like to give SockMonkee a big thank you for sending over such a wonderful tee for this review! “Blue Like Jazz” has now become a favorite in my t-shirt collection. I’m not even kidding when I say that the entire new line is fantastic. Don’t believe me? Head over to the SockMonkee shop to check out the new designs, including “Blue Like Jazz.” All six shirts in this new line are priced at $20.
