I sometimes enjoy seeing art that throws off my perception. “Concrete Jungle” from ARKA Clothing does just that. The buildings look warped and wonky, and the monkeys and bananas are much larger than they would be in real life. This design is drawn from all kinds of perspectives, and although it does not look like a realistic portrayal of a city intersection, it draws my attention. The skyscrapers look like they have a personality of their own, and they appear like they’re on the move even if they’re deeply rooted in the pavement. I also really want to know what those monkeys are doing there! What’s cool about ARKA Clothing tees is that they’re printed with non-toxic (non-formaldehyde) ink. I’m definitely a fan of a company that will take that extra step.
I have some news for you awesome readers! Today marks the first day of curated pieces at Tilteed. From now on, there will be a new curated design every 3 days. You will only have 72 hours to pick up these Limited t-shirts for $12 a pop, and once that period is up, they’re gone for good. So if you see something you like, definitely purchase it before the opportunity goes away! Don’t worry though, as the contest portion of the site is still there. Now there will just be more awesome tees to purchase!
Along with this being a cool t-shirt site format, another reason why I’m especially excited is because I have been chosen as one of the Tilteed curators! You’ll see me by my web name, dunz0. I have been a follower of Tilteed since day one, so I am incredibly honored and thrilled to meet artists and learn the inner workings of this great company. If you would like a chance to get featured at Tilteed, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail at dunz0 (at) tilteed (dot) com, and we can discuss!
With all that said, the first Tilteed Limited design is brought to you by one of my fellow curators, Adder. You may know him from his awesome blog SingulariTee or seen him around the Shirt.Woot forums. This first tee is titled “The Gift” and is illustrated by studioelle. I’m a fan of this design, because it shows someone living under good conditions sending a gift over to a person who’s much less fortunate. This gift, in turn, brings the less fortunate over to the nicer place. I think that this piece can apply to a variety of things in life, from donating to charities to having a more enjoyable life with your loved ones than when you were alone. I think it’s definitely a great piece for Valentine’s day, too.
You can purchase “The Gift” at Tilteed for $12. Remember that this tee will be gone soon! Also, you can use the code “LovingThisTee” to take $2 off your order. Let me know what you think of this new spin on Tilteed!
ReThink Clothing has just released some new tees for the new year. Designed by Zack Davenport, “Water The Summer Sky” is a beautiful piece depicting a sprinkler system that shoots out the night sky. This is now one of my favorite designs available at ReThink Clothing, and I love Zack Davenport’s two other pieces on the site as well. I much prefer the silver version of the shirt, but the mint tee looks good too. The textures in this piece are gorgeous, and these tees really make me miss summer. I believe that this is the first ReThink design that’s available on both men’s and women’s tees (in both silver and mint), so that’s also very cool!
You can purchase “Water The Summer Sky” at ReThink Clothing for $18.99.
So David of SEIBEI is currently holding a sale. What’s the occasion, you ask? Well, today he’s celebrating the 10 year anniversary of scoring a perfect 1600 on the SATs (what a smarty!). Every single tee has been marked down to $16 or less!
So what are you waiting for? Head over to SEIBEI for this limited-time offer, and take an additional 10% off with the code LTT!
I had no idea that there was going to be a new release from Lowdtown Friends & Freaks until a couple of days ago, so this is quite a marvelous treat! Today also marks the one year anniversary of Lowdtown. Congratulations, Ray!
This new winter drop includes four crewnecks (two designs in two different colorways each), one new tee, and a wallet. I’m truly in love with everything in this line! This first crewneck is called “Cleanbean” and shows naked, muscular Cleanbean in his tighty whiteys. He’s so confident in his underoos and I dig that! It’s available on both heather gray and charcoal for $30.
The second crewneck available is titled “Voracious” and is a new take on the “Insatiable” tee. I love the tee, but I might have to say that I love these crewnecks even more. Although less colorful, these crewnecks are looking mighty hungry! I don’t know which colorway I prefer more, because they are both awesome, in my opinion. These crewnecks are also going for $30.
As for the t-shirt, it is titled “Unikid” and is a collaboration between Ray Masaki of Lowdtown and Attila Szamosi, another one of my favorite designers. This design definitely shows a darker side to Lowdtown, which we haven’t really seen before. According to the site, Unikid is the badass of Lowdtown. I knew that this world couldn’t be so happy and cheery all the time. There has to be someone doing some mischief, too! The tee is sold for $20. As a side note, I’ve also noticed that the little stitched tag on the bottom of the products has changed, and I like this cleaner look.
Finally, this new wallet is too cool to leave out of the post, so here it is. This black wallet is very slim and sleek, while still retaining the Lowdtown spirit. Who says you can’t be classy with Lowdtown?
You can purchase all of these items at Lowdtown Friends & Freaks. Make sure to use the coupon code “lovingthistee” to take 10% off! Hopefully I can get my hands on at least one of these products soon because they are perfect for the season!
LadyUmbrella is finally launching their store tomorrow! Are you pumped? I surely am!
A few weeks ago, I received an amazing package sent to me all the way from Ireland. It’s always wonderful to receive products from outside the U.S. because it’s the closest that I’ll get to experiencing these countries! Anyways, in this envelope were a neatly packaged shirt, stickers, buttons, and a note that I assume is placed into every order. The tee that I’ll be reviewing today is titled “LadyUmbrella is Friends with David Attenborough.” You can click most of the images in this post to enlarge them.
To start things off, I’d like to say that LadyUmbrella‘s shirt packaging definitely looks professional. The tee was neatly folded and placed into a clear plastic bag. The small goodies also made me even happier when I discovered them. Something about small pins and stickers does it for me!
