You can think I’m weird all you want, but I absolutely LOVE school supply shopping! I guess it has changed quite a bit since my younger years, but school supply shopping can be just as fun in college. I love heading to office supply stores to pick up new pens and notebooks, so it’s fitting that I write about a tee that relates to this nerdy pastime of mine.
I haven’t needed to purchase a composition notebook in years and I don’t exactly see why they’re favored by teachers, but they were on pretty much all of my school supply lists until high school. Because of that, “Composition Skull” sure brings back a lot of memories! This design from Skullastic is one of many school-themed tees that the company offers.
Although the image shows a kid wearing the tee, this shirt is only available in adult sizes. There are many designs available in kid sizes, though! You can pick up “Composition Skull” for $24 at Skullastic.
The new year is just around the corner, so what better way to enter 2010 than with a sweet giveaway? Regal Clothing Co. has partnered up with Loving This Tee for a new contest where three lucky participants will each be awarded with a free mystery tee (handpicked by Darren of Regal Clothing). That’s right. Regal Clothing is giving away not one, not two, but 3 free t-shirts to 3 readers! Just take a look around the Regal Clothing shop to see what kind of tee you have a shot at winning.
Now that you know what the prizes are, let me explain what your task is. Like others, I come up with a New Year’s resolution every year. It always feels good to have a goal in mind for a fresh calendar year, even if it’s something small. To enter in this contest, all that you have to do is answer the following question by commenting below.
What is your New Year’s resolution for 2010?
It’s that simple. Just tell me your New Year’s resolution(s) and you’ll be entered to win a free Regal Clothing t-shirt! If you haven’t come up with a resolution yet, you’ve still got some time. Just to get things rolling, my new year’s resolution is to doodle in my sketchbook at least every other day so that I can better my skills.
This contest will end at 11:59pm Eastern Time on Friday, January 8, 2010. Winners will be announced a day or two after they are chosen. As always, please make sure that you enter your email address into the box provided, so that I will have a way to contact you if you are a winner. Good luck, and please spread the word about this contest!
From now until January 11, 2010, you can take 40% off at Hypnic with the code “l8trxmas.” This makes each tee just $15 a pop! Since I own the “Winter” tee, I can attest to the awesomeness of these shirts. Head on over to Hypnic before 1/11 to pick up some sweet tees while they’re on sale!
So it’s still Christmas, but Design By Humans has put up their After-Christmas sale! If you don’t celebrate this holiday, just think of it as DBH’s way of phrasing “After-December-25th Sale” in less awkward terms. Tees range from $10-$17 and the sale will last until January 3, 2010. If you haven’t gotten the chance to pick up your favorites at Design By Humans, now would be a great time to do it. Take an additional 10% off until December 31 with the code GPH70R!
I love Stick-A-Thing and DXTR. I also love CAVATA Clothing. So, what happens when these two artists and CAVATA Clothing join forces? A sweet Cavata design is born, of course! “Audio Maze” is a collaboration between artists S.A.T. and DXTR and it shows all kinds of fun, random characters. The design also utilizes my favorite color, orange!
“Audio Maze” is available for $19.99 at CAVATA Clothing and is offered in both men’s and women’s styles. What’s wonderful about this company is that 10% of every purchase is donated to schools and non-profit organizations to support arts and music programs. If you’re looking for an awesome new tee and also want to do some good while you’re shopping, check out CAVATA Clothing!
I remember coming across this site a few months back, and I’m glad that I rediscovered it again recently. Devicious has some sweet new tees out, and the one that I’m particularly fond of is called “Slice of Woods.” Now I’m no fan of deforestation (especially if it’s anthropogenic), but this tee is simply beautiful to look at! I love how there are some random organisms moving about on the tree stumps and how there are also animals lurking in the darkness below.
Two new, hyper limited tees are now up at Fur Face Boy! “Space Fur” is quite different from the other tees offered at FFB, and it’s refreshing to see an interesting type tee. The letters spelling out the brand name are abstract enough so they look like a cool design. I’ll admit that I didn’t even know what I was looking at for a few seconds when I first saw these tees, but that’s exactly what I love about them. “Space Fur” comes in two colorways, black and royal. These shirts are super limited to 18 each, so you should pick one up now if you want one! They’re going for $36 in the Fur Face Boy shop.
And since it is still the month of December, your purchase will go towards a fund that Ha of FFB has started. 50% of every sale is being donated to the Hope Fund for a Bloomingdale Library attack victim, and Ha is also contributing an equal amount of his personal funds too. I love it when companies work for a great cause and let their shoppers feel good as well. You can click to read more about the FFB Hope Fund here:
