Loving This Tee

Are you a fan of The Simpsons? If you are, I hope that you’ve seen the episode where Homer discovers the box of Mr. Sparkle detergent. The picture on the box that resembles Homer was actually a combination of two different logos, a fish and a light bulb. Modern Classic has created a tee called “Fish Bulb” that shows the Matsumura Fishworks logo on the front and the Tamaribuchi Heavy Manufacturing Concern logo on the back. I suppose if you spin fast enough, these two logos will merge to form Mr. Sparkle. I wouldn’t recommend trying this at home, though!

I will admit that I am quite horrible at video games, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying video game themed shirts. Available at Teefury for one day only, “80 MPH” by davidfromdallas is a shirt that combines Mario Kart with a real-life scenario. In this design, Mario is being ticketed by a police officer for speeding. Since the others who are way ahead of him weren’t ticketed, I’m wondering if this citation is not only due to speeding but also a broken taillight or something of similar nature. Whatever it is, Mr. Policeman needs to make it snappy so that Mario can get back into the race!

I haven’t fallen in love with many Shirt.Woot tees, but today is the day when the count is raised by one. This tee, titled “Gonna Make You Lunch,” puts a huge smile on my face and I can’t get enough of it. I do wonder what PB’s lyrical skills are like, though. Perhaps it goes a little something like this…

Yo my name is Peanut Butta and this is my jam
Don’t confuse that with the DJ ‘cause his name is really Sam
I’m spitting out these rhymes as you’re making some lunch
Spread me all over yo bread then add the DJ for extra punch
Make sure that we’re even and don’t put too much on
Or your kids will spit it out and say “What’s going on?”
“These sandwiches are whack and I do not like the taste.
Please, Mom, listen to PB&J ‘cause they know how to make it great!”

Who knows… maybe the peanut butter isn’t saying anything at all because he has no mouth and the jelly DJ is playing some trance beats. Regardless of what’s actually going on, I love this shirt!

Now I’m not a big fan of circuses, but I’ll make an exception for this tee because I’m a huge fan of dinosaurs. The end of Ladies Week at RIPT turned out to be an amazing one, with Jewelwing’s “Dino Circus” taking Friday’s slot. This lighthearted design features many dinosaurs having a great time performing all sorts of fancy tricks. This shirt makes me want to join right in, although I think I’d freak out and run away if the opportunity ever arose! Despite the fact that I’m not a fan of wearing natural/creme colored tees, I think that the color scheme that Jewelwing chose is fantastic. Pick up “Dino Circus” today before it disappears at midnight!

Strange Cargo is a Chicago-based t-shirt shop that offers a ton of customizable tees, featuring designs from a plethora of categories. The shop has been around for over 25 years and designs can be printed on short sleeve, long sleeve, ringer, baseball, and soccer tees. The shirts range between $20-$23, and there are plenty of shirt colors to choose from, with more obscure American Apparel colors such as Heather Plum and King Heather Brown. Here is one of my favorite designs, titled “Chihuahua and Lab Gossiping.”

What’s not to love about two canines enjoying a coffee date? I’m just glad that the little Chihuahua was able to find a stool that was tall enough for it to sit on! You can pick up “Chihuahua and Lab Gossiping,” along with other fully customizable tees, at Strange Cargo. Use the code “lovingthistee1” to take 25% off of your order!

Kim & Jason is a website devoted to escaping adulthood and adultitis prevention. This quirky site is one that every adult, young or old, should stop by. There are a few tees in the shop that bring back the good old days of elementary school and recess. One of my favorite shirts in the store is “Adulthood Stinks.” It’s simple, yet the message is so true, and the skunk is the perfect character to deliver this message! Other tees feature various childhood games, such as Duck, Duck, Goose and Red Rover. For a limited time, buy 2 tees and get 1 free! Shipping is also only 25 cents with a $25+ purchase. Put a little fun back into your adulthood, and pick up a tee at Kim & Jason today!
