Back in October of 2009, I reviewed a cute pancakes shirt from Loyal Army. Today I have some more tees to show you! If you’re familiar with Loyal Army, then you know that they’re all about cute products. Seriously, their tees are so cute that I don’t even know what to do with myself.
The shirts I received include “I’m Ridin’ Solo,” “OMG TEXT,” “Little Monster,” and a shirt against animal testing that I can’t currently find on their website. While the animal shirts and the monster shirt have similarly sized prints, the “OMG TEXT” tee is completely covered on the front (nothing on the back).
So since all of the shirts are quite similar in how they feel, I’m going to review one in depth. Let’s pick the “Little Monster” one because I recently went to see Lady Gaga in concert and all of her fans are her little monsters. Read the rest of this entry »
It’s time for yet another t-shirt review! Today I’ll be reviewing a shirt from LabCandy, a brand that launched last summer. The tee that I received is a sweet design (you see what I did there?) by Greg Abbott called “Candy Maniac.”
The shirt came nicely folded in a sealed orange plastic bag, which I thought was cool. I’m not a fan of clear or translucent mailers, though. Something about the way that you can see what kind of shirt lies inside the packaging makes me nervous about the parcel’s journey through shipment facilities. Nonetheless, this LabCandy tee obviously made it to me just fine! The shirt came packaged with some extra goodies: a sealed tube of blue powder candy and LabCandy pin.
Here’s a look at the full design. Greg Abbott sure is a pro at designing lovable monsters! This poor guy had so much fun enjoying his treats that he didn’t notice the lollipops and bubblegum sticking to him until it was too late. I just hope that he doesn’t stick that gum back into his mouth once he frees himself. That would be kind of gross… Read the rest of this entry »
If you’re neither a size Small nor XL, then this post won’t be very helpful in matching you with the new t-shirt of your dreams. If you do, however, wear one of these sizes, then check out this limited edition design that Bryan Collins has in his Etsy shop! The design is called “Living Through Empty” and it was originally created on scratch board. The artwork is so cool and creepy!
I love candy. I don’t think that I could live without candy. I mean, I guess I could, but it wouldn’t be a very happy life. I wasn’t a big fan of chocolate until a year or so ago, just mainly hard candies, but now I’ll give all kinds of candy my love. Since I love sugary treats so much, it makes sense that I would also love a brand that is all about candy. LabCandy‘s the name and candy-themed apparel is what they offer.
My favorite design out of their first release is a piece by my friend Greg Abbott called “Candy Maniac.” This design features a monster enjoying his candy while having a bit of trouble with some sticky bubble gum. I guess that’s the price you pay when your appetite for delicious sweets is insatiable!
I love being an art curator at Tilteed. It’s not even possible for me to pretend this isn’t true. Looking at t-shirt designs all day long is just too fun! But why am I talking about curating? Well, that’s because I have a new curation up at Tilteed.
I can recall the day when I first discovered Yema Yema‘s artwork. At first I was like “Huh?” but after I let it sink it a little, I was like “Oh my gosh, this is brilliant!” I get the same reaction to some music discoveries, and these bands/musicians always end up being my long-time favorites. I’m thinking that it’s a good thing that I reacted to Yema Yema in the same fashion, because I can definitely picture myself loving her artwork for a long, long time!
Without further ado, I’m happy to present to you “Woody Friends,” a delightfully quirky piece by Yema Yema. There isn’t a single thing that I don’t like about the design. Her characters are so unique, and I truly mean that. You can see for yourself. They’re like mixtures of robots and monsters, and I personally find them to be cute, creepy, and silly, all at the same time. These characters look like they’re all having a blast hanging out, and that’s exactly what summer’s all about!
Thanks for letting me share artwork with you, t-shirt wearers around the world! If any artists would like to send me designs to look at for curation in the Tilteed Limited line, please shoot me an e-mail at dunz0[at]tilteed[dot]com.

For $13, you can get a grab bag from SEIBEI that includes a t-shirt (you have the option of a current or discontinued shirt), an extra goody (e.g., a tote bag, buttons, another t-shirt), and a chance to win a hand-painted SEIBEI figurine that hasn’t even been released yet! I personally don’t think that you can be disappointed with anything that you end up receiving.
And if that wasn’t enough, you can use the code “LTT” to save 10%! So what are you waiting for? Get your SEIBEI grab bag today!
Mathiole and bisparulz take the cake for the coolest monster formed by little monsters! “Ultimate Midnight Monster!” is today’s Shirt of the Day at Design By Humans, and it is a well-deserved win. While the composition is already awesome, the colors are what bring this design to life. Although he’s a gigantic monster, you can’t help but find him lovable. Just look at all those little smiling faces!
This tee titled “Pop’s Adventure,”brought to you by Monster Pop Apparel, is quite fun to look at! What’s this portly monster doing in outer space? And why is Pop’s right hand gone? By the looks of it, he’s on one serious mission. Let’s just hope that the rocket contains enough fuel to get him wherever he needs to go! Otherwise, I’m not sure how swimming in space will work with one hand and no legs.
You can purchase “Pop’s Adventure” for $20 at Monster Pop. It’s also available in two other colorways (black and cranberry), but supplies are extra limited. If your size is still available, I suggest that you pick up your favorite now!
This new tee from Rise and Resist Apparel (randr) is so awesome! “Blob” is a tee with, you guessed it, a blob. This one’s full of eyeballs and has a pair of mouths. Created by Atomic Child, this piece is drawn in a style that doesn’t freak me out like a real-life blob of this type would. It looks like it could be a cartoon character seen on television, and I love that! This tee is up for sale at randr for $20, but you can take $5 off with the code RANDRJKT84 until next Tuesday (11/24)!
