Loving This Tee

Since I was out of the country for about a month, I haven’t fully caught up with the tee world yet. That’s okay though. Baby steps.

For example, I haven’t shown you this wonderful new release from Doctor Hazmat yet. Greg Abbott did a great job with the character!

MAC, robot, Doctor HazmatM.A.C. is back, and happier than ever. Why? Because it’s his day off! I wonder what he’s going to do. Probably just your everyday robot things: hanging out with his robot friends, eating good robot food, and drinking delicious robot beers.

You can pick up “Happy M.A.C.” for $25 at Doctor Hazmat. These shirts are available in both men‘s and women‘s sizes.

It’s time for yet another t-shirt review! Today I’ll be reviewing a shirt from LabCandy, a brand that launched last summer. The tee that I received is a sweet design (you see what I did there?) by Greg Abbott called “Candy Maniac.”

LabCandy, Greg AbbottThe shirt came nicely folded in a sealed orange plastic bag, which I thought was cool. I’m not a fan of clear or translucent mailers, though. Something about the way that you can see what kind of shirt lies inside the packaging makes me nervous about the parcel’s journey through shipment facilities. Nonetheless, this LabCandy tee obviously made it to me just fine! The shirt came packaged with some extra goodies: a sealed tube of blue powder candy and LabCandy pin.

LabCandy, Greg Abbott, monsterHere’s a look at the full design. Greg Abbott sure is a pro at designing lovable monsters! This poor guy had so much fun enjoying his treats that he didn’t notice the lollipops and bubblegum sticking to him until it was too late. I just hope that he doesn’t stick that gum back into his mouth once he frees himself. That would be kind of gross… Read the rest of this entry »

I don’t think that I have to tell you again how much I love Greg Abbott’s artwork. It should be a given at this point. He’s just too awesome at creating unique characters! With that said, you should check out the newest permanent catalog addition at Tilteed, “Foxes.” It’s a 3-color design printed on army AA blanks, and it’s on pre-order for just $12 right now!

foxes, Greg Abbott, Tilteed, cuteGosh, aren’t they just so darn cute? I just want to say “HI!!!” right back to them and wave frantically, but then I’d essentially be talking to myself and that’s just plain silly. I’m definitely not that silly. Nope.

Moving on… This is the third catalog piece by Greg Abbott at Tilteed. “Foxes” is definitely a great companion for the other two designs, “Spyglass” and “Joy Ride.”

Greg Abbott, joyride, Tilteed, monstersHead on over to Tilteed to get your fix of Greg Abbott’s fun characters today! “Foxes” is on pre-order for $12 until Noon Pacific Time this Friday. After that, you can still pick it up for $18 like other designs in the permanent shop catalog. As always, you can save $2 with the coupon code “LovingThisTee.” Go get your cute on!

I love candy. I don’t think that I could live without candy. I mean, I guess I could, but it wouldn’t be a very happy life. I wasn’t a big fan of chocolate until a year or so ago, just mainly hard candies, but now I’ll give all kinds of candy my love. Since I love sugary treats so much, it makes sense that I would also love a brand that is all about candy. LabCandy‘s the name and candy-themed apparel is what they offer.

LabCandy, Greg Abbott, Candy ManiacMy favorite design out of their first release is a piece by my friend Greg Abbott called “Candy Maniac.” This design features a monster enjoying his candy while having a bit of trouble with some sticky bubble gum. I guess that’s the price you pay when your appetite for delicious sweets is insatiable!

You can purchase “Candy Maniac” at LabCandy for $20. Although not pictured, it’s available in a women’s version, too.

So Threads or Tales isn’t officially launching until October 10, 2010 (10-10-10 is a cool date!), but they’re having a secret sale right now by releasing one design for just 24 hours. Call it a sneak peek of sorts, if you will. This first design is by Greg Abbott and it is called “Cyclops The Blind Pirate.” It’s available in both t-shirt and poster print form, and there’s even a little poem that goes along with the shirt.

What’s awesome about Threads or Tales is that all of the designs have a story behind them. I’m definitely looking forward to the full launch! For now, you can pick up “Cyclops The Blind Pirate” for $18 at Threads or Tales.

So we all know that zombies want brains, but did you know that there are brains out there that yearn for zombies? Well, now you do! Designed by Greg Abbott, “Zombies!” is a fun tee from Demighty that shows a little brain pining for some zombies to eat. What I love is that he’s wearing little socks. How awesome is that?

You can purchase “Zombies!” at Demighty for just $15 while it’s on sale. They have 10 cent stickers of the design, too!

Bunny 1: “Oh, hai!”

Bunny 2: “What are you doing there?”

Bunny 1: “Looking into a telescope. All I see is this big eyeball. I think you need a refund!”

The newest addition to the Tilteed catalog is Greg Abbott’s “Spyglass.” I have never been disappointed with a Greg Abbott piece, and “Spyglass” continues that streak. Bunnies are cute and fluffy and just plain awesome, and the color choices make this piece even more pleasing to the eyes. One thing that I love about Greg’s work is that he always chooses color combinations that you don’t see on a regular basis, and these colors always end up going together extremely well. I only have one brown t-shirt in my entire tee collection, and Tilteed definitely makes me want to add “Spyglass” to that list!

Since this is a catalog piece, that means “Spyglass” is currently on pre-order at Tilteed for $12 until a new tee goes up. It will go up to $18 after this period, so make sure you snatch one before the sale price goes away! There are also coupons that you can use: “LovingThisTee” will take $2 off any order (non expiring), and “SpringWoot” will get you $8 off of your purchase of 2 or more tees (until the end of the month)!

Do you think that you’re weird and are proud of it? If you answered yes, you can now celebrate your individuality with a hot new tee! SEIBEI has just released a shirt designed by Greg Abbott, titled “FOREVER WEIRD.” Being a fan of Greg’s work, I am quite impressed with how he has created a piece that is quite different from his usual designs. With each monster sharing a resemblance with the famous Sandwich Dinosaur, this design fits perfectly into the SEIBEI line.  I love how the message is the main focus of the tee and that the monsters are lurking in the background. I also love that this design is printed on heather black, a color that is not often seen in the indie t-shirt world. I give it two thumbs up!

Have fun being forever weird and pick up this tee at SEIBEI today! You can also use the code “LTT” to take 10% off your purchase.

If you’ve been around t-shirt competition sites or have been surfing on Emptees, then you most likely have heard of t-shirt designer Tom Neal. Last night was a big night for Tom, as he launched Ctrl Alt Defeat, a company that sells one limited t-shirt at a time. To kick things off, Ctrl Alt Defeat is offering “Remote” by artist Greg Abbott who is known for his whimsical characters and fun color choices. I dig the artwork, although I am curious as to why this little piece of technology looks so distraught. I hope that nothing’s burning down!

At Ctrl Alt Defeat, when one tee sells out, another is put up for sale. This results in a variable schedule for new shirts, so we’ll never know exactly when a new design will go on the site. I suppose that this keeps the excitement alive, but I hope that each shirt doesn’t take too long to sell out so that I can keep coming back for more. I hope to see more wonderful designs in the future. Pick up “Remote” at Ctrl Alt Defeat for £14.99 and keep your eyes peeled for the next tee!
