This Just In!: Abraham Lincoln shirt from Retro Campaigns

Today I’ll be reviewing a t-shirt from Retro Campaigns featuring the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Now I don’t normally wear anything politics-related, but the “American Legends” line at Retro Campaigns caught my eye. I love the vintage look of the shirts from this line, so I’m very happy to get to check out one of them in person!

The shirt came in a plastic bag with a Retro Campaigns button and hangtag. I like how the button was used to pin the custom hang tag to the inside tag of the shirt.

This particular design is printed on an Alternative Apparel blank and it’s very soft. The material is thin compared to the standard American Apparel shirts and other major brands of ringspun cotton shirts on the market (Just to note: this Retro Campaigns shirt is 90% cotton and 10% polyester), but that’s a good thing. Not only does the shirt look vintage, but it also feels like a tee that has been broken in.

Along with the shirt material feeling exceptionally nice, the print area also feels wonderful. And by wonderful, I mean that you cannot feel the ink at all. Now that’s something that I love.

The shirt even has machine-grinded hem and collar details to add on to its aged appearance. I would find this very tacky under any other circumstance, but this tee is even better with this destroyed look. I’ve taken a picture of what the bottom of the shirt looks like so you can get a general idea. Retro Campaigns has the vintage thing down pat!

Overall, I really like this Retro Campaigns product. My only complaint is the price point, but you may not be bothered by it. This Abraham Lincoln shirt is available for $29.95 in both men’s and women’s sizes. They also offer a variety of other campaign shirts, so be sure to check those out as well!
